Giving up a pet can be a difficult decision. At the Humane Society of Warren County, we hope to guide you through the process and talk with you about your available options. When you visit our shelter, be assured that you will be welcomed into a judgement-free environment, where our number one priority is the well-being of your animal.
Depending on your circumstances, we can occasionally offer assistance which may allow you to keep your pet at home with you if that is your wish.
The Humane Society of Warren County accepts owner surrenders and stray animals by appointment only, so please call before bringing in your animal. Please understand that we cannot take every animal, but we will do our best to provide you with resources when possible.
Once you have made an appointment, please fill out and bring in the attached questionnaire, so that we can get to know your animal and find it a great adopter.
